2026 – 2027 Reform

E-invoicing is becoming mandatory. With Pelli, you're already ready.

France's reform is coming. No need to panic: we'll walk you through the essentials in 2 minutes, and why Pelli makes you compliant with no complicated paperwork.

What changes for you, simply

E-invoicing is gradually replacing paper invoices and PDFs. Two dates to remember, and that's it.

September 1, 2026

You must be able to receive

All French businesses will need to be able to receive electronic invoices. That means being registered and connected to a platform.

September 1, 2027

You must issue them

Freelancers, micro-businesses and SMEs — the vast majority of photographers — will need to issue their invoices in electronic format, through an approved platform.

A PDF sent by email is not an electronic invoice

A true electronic invoice is a structured file (Factur-X format) that travels through an approved platform and stays traceable. Simply sending a plain PDF will no longer be enough.

Why deal with it now

No point waiting until the last minute: choosing a compatible platform today saves you all the stress.

September 1, 2026 is approaching

The obligation to receive already applies to everyone. Better to be ready ahead of time than in a rush.

Fines if you fall behind

The law sets a fine of €15 per non-compliant invoice (up to €15,000 per year). Getting compliant costs far less.

Just one thing to do: turn it on

With a compatible platform, all you have to do is enable the feature. No software to install, no complicated mandate to sign.

Why Pelli is the right choice

A solution designed in France, for French law — and already ready for the reform.

Today, Pelli is the only French platform built for photographers that's already compatible with e-invoicing.

French, built for French law

Pelli is developed and hosted in France, in Brest. Your invoices meet the mandatory details and formats required by the French authorities.

Compliant via an approved platform

Pelli relies on B2B Router, a partner platform registered for the reform. Your invoices automatically travel through the right channel.

Included, with no extra steps

No subscription to take out elsewhere, no mandate to sign with your accountant. Compliance is built into Pelli, starting with the Lite plan.

Everything in one place

Galleries, quotes, contracts, payments and e-invoicing: you run your entire business from a single French platform.

Beware of foreign platforms

Many photographers use foreign tools like Pixieset or Pic-Time for their galleries and invoicing. For French e-invoicing, that's not an option.

  • These platforms are not approved by the French authorities: they cannot issue your invoices under the reform.
  • An invoice created with these tools does not make you compliant, even if it looks "clean".
  • You'd risk having to redo everything at the last minute as the deadline approaches.

With Pelli, you use a French, compatible solution from the start — nothing to redo later.

Frequently asked questions

Am I affected as a photographer?

Yes. The reform applies to all French businesses subject to VAT (TVA), including micro-entrepreneurs and sole traders, even those under the VAT exemption scheme.

What are the deadlines?

September 1, 2026 to be able to receive electronic invoices, and September 1, 2027 to issue them if you're a freelancer, micro-business or SME.

What exactly do I need to do?

Choose a compatible platform and enable e-invoicing. With Pelli, it's all already built in: you have nothing to install.

Is Pelli really compliant?

Yes. Pelli is a French platform that relies on B2B Router, a partner registered for the reform, to route your invoices through the official channel.

I already use Pixieset or Pic-Time, is that enough?

No. These foreign tools are not approved French platforms and cannot make you compliant with the reform. You'll need a French solution like Pelli.
