Dubsado is a well-established American client management platform that claims more than 120,000 users since 2015, of whom 30,000 are current paying customers. It covers proposals, contracts, invoices and automated workflows very well. What it does not do is deliver photos: its own documentation states that photographers who use Dubsado typically pair it with a separate gallery platform. Pelli starts from the other end: client galleries, the print store and the CRM all live in one subscription, with payments landing straight in your own Stripe account.
Discover why Pelli is the best choice for your photography business
On paper, Pelli Pro at $39/month sits just above Dubsado Starter at $35/month โ on sticker price alone, Dubsado is the cheaper of the two. The difference is what you still have to pay on the side: with Dubsado, photo delivery runs through a separate gallery platform whose subscription is added to your bill every month. With Pelli, the galleries, the store, the CRM and the website are already there. Dubsado, on the other hand, takes no platform commission on the payments you collect, where Pelli keeps 3% per transaction, Stripe processing fees included.

If you sell services with no files to deliver, Dubsado is an excellent choice and will remain one. If your work is about delivering photos, getting them loved and selling them, you will need a second subscription alongside it. Pelli was designed so that second subscription never has to exist.
